Jennifer Van Buskirk
Costume Designer

My Design Philosophy: To create vibrant, realistic and fantastical characters that inspire performers, as well as audiences. I enjoy working closely with directors and performers to create characters that are true to their story, but unique in their own way.

Using my graphic design skills I worked on promotions for the Nevada Conservatory Theatre's 2014 - 15 Season in addition to designing costumes as an MFA Candidate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

I just finished out my summer as a Hair & Makeup Artisan at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, UT.

I enjoy collaborating with my fellow artists and actors on projects that are outside of the theatre. For examples of these works check out the Fairytale Photoshoot or the Mad Max Photoshoot on my Costume Design page.

I am also a budding Shakespeare Scholar working on a research paper questioning Iago's role in "Othello" from a Theatrical Cognitive Psychology perspective. More info to come on this project as it develops.

Resumes are available for viewing and download below.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy my work.
